Confession

I have been extremely busy lately. Hence, the reason that I haven't written a blog entry lately. Ok. that's an excuse. ...sort of like, my dog ate my homework. The bible says confess your faults one to another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. (James 5:16) So, my friends, I confess that I have been lazy and lax concerning this blog that I know the Holy Spirit moved me to start. Yesterday at work, I was deeply convicted. I had been praying that the Lord would give me more time to spend with Him. He blessed me with a position where I have considerable downtime to study, listen to my music, write, pray, etc. Well, In the month that I have been there, I have not done any of these things during that down time. I have been distracted by conversations and other things that at the time seemed "Oh so important". Yesterday, the Lord spoke to me in the Spirit saying...I have given you what you have asked of me, yet you are content to throw it away...with it, you throw away all of the blessing that are linked to this extra time with me and the blessing that I would use you to manifest in the lives of those around you. Ouch. I both heard and felt that chastisement. I began to feel guilty and God in his infinite love said. Don't waist time beating yourself up. Take up you mat-this place where you have sat down- and walk. So, I am back on track. I know that as I take that extra time to study, the Holy Spirit will give me more things to share here in my blog. Writing is a "talent" that God has graciously given me and I do not want to squander it. What is Satan trying to distract you from? Set your gaze on God and allow him to refocus that area for you. I guarantee there is a blessing that the ornamentation of Satan is trying to blind you to.
